Need to set a customer price for an AI feature? Underprice and every heavy user erodes your margin; overprice and you lose the sale. This page helps product and pricing owners find the number that covers AI costs and still leaves the margin you want.

Why this isn't trivial
The part people underestimate: your price has to cover a variable, per-use AI cost while leaving margin, so a flat price can lose money on heavy users. In practice the biggest savings come from pricing off your heaviest realistic usage, not the average, so it is worth modelling before you commit.
How it's calculated
We estimate this by taking your per-request AI cost, applying a target margin, and translating it into a customer-facing price. Every figure uses the current provider prices baked into the site (reviewed daily), and you can override any input to match your own assumptions.
Frequently asked questions
Should I price on average or heavy usage?+
Price so even heavy users stay profitable, or cap usage per tier.
Flat fee or usage-based?+
Flat is simpler but risks heavy users; usage-based tracks cost more closely.
Are these prices up to date?+
Yes. The model prices behind this calculator are refreshed and reviewed daily, so your estimate reflects current provider rates rather than a stale snapshot.
