AI Contract Review Cost Calculator
Reviewing contracts with an LLM means feeding the whole document in and getting a structured risk summary back. Because a full agreement is tens of thousands of input tokens, the cost is dominated by what you send, not what the model writes.
A ~25-page contract (~18K input tokens) summarised and risk-flagged, 40 contracts a day.

Why this number isn't obvious
Vendors quote per-seat or per-document prices that hide the real driver: document length. A 25-page master services agreement costs many times more to process than a one-page NDA at the same model, so an average based on short docs will understate your bill.

Frequently asked questions
Why is contract review priced on input tokens?+
The contract itself is the input, and a long agreement is tens of thousands of tokens. The risk summary the model returns is short, so output cost is a rounding error next to input cost.
Can a cheaper model handle contract review?+
Often yes for first-pass flagging. Because the document carries the facts, a mid-tier model with a large context window frequently matches a flagship on catching obvious issues β retest on your own clauses before switching.
